Collecting Missed Opportunities by Overthinking

“If you think, you’ll just think. If you put things into action, you’ll achieve it.”

As an overthinker, whenever I think about starting a new project, I would immediately think of everything that could go wrong with it. Thus, I usually end up not starting the project at all. To be fair, analysis is needed to filter out ideas between good and bad. However, in a overthinker’s mind, even a great idea can turn sour with just one thing that can possibly go wrong.

Sometimes, just knowing the basics and taking a leap of faith to start something new are enough to take action to whatever idea that one may have. If it doesn’t work out, then at least you tried. But if it does, then wouldn’t you be glad that you started in the first place?

I may not bring back the missed opportunities that I’ve had by overthinking ideas instead of just taking action. But, being self-aware whenever I am overanalyzing would be helpful to see and grab great opportunities as they come.
